Never Food List

At some point in the development of my eating disorder, I developed a “fear food” list. My list contains a number of foods that I have deem “off-limits” for whatever reason.  Bananas- too high in sugar. Pretzels- too carby and salty.

When I look at the list, I realize how silly it is. A piece of bread isn’t going to kill me- just eat it. But everytime, I’m confronted with the food, I have paralyzing anxiety. Even being near a food that I have told myself I can’t have makes my heart rate spike just so.

It’s time to start confronting these foods. Do something every day that scares you, right?

Here are the foods that I plan to attempt and cross off one-by-one:

  • Waffles
  • Pizza
  • Bread
  • Vegan Icecream
  • Bagels
  • Stuffing
  • Cookies
  • Applesauce
  • Bananas
  • Pretzels
  • Peanut Butter
  • Spaghetti
  • Peanut Butter
  • Ramen/Noodles
  • Tortillas
  • Falafel
